We’re passionate about having a shared space for the performing arts where everyone can create, express, bond, be inspired & be part of a wider community.


We offer our venue for hire for multiple uses within the performing arts sector. Rehearsals, classes, workshops, private lessons, socials, photo & video shoots, showcases, or creative projects with our online booking system.
With generous spaces, wooden floors, good natural lighting, air conditioning and great sound systems Empire hums with activity, expression and community.

Studio Hire Opening Hours
Our venue is open for hire 7 days a week from 6am-11pm & midnight Saturday. NOTE > Amplified music must be kept to reasonable levels at all times - especially from 6-8am, and after 10pm to help our neighbours continue to love us x

When booking a studio for hire

Our Friendly Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy for Studio Hire
We totally get that life happens—plans change, and flexibility is key! That’s why we offer a 48-hour cancellation & rescheduling window for all bookings.

Need to reschedule or cancel? Just log in and make changes at least 48 hours before your booking—no fuss, no fees - except Stripe transaction fees.

Inside 48 hours? Unfortunately, bookings are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be rescheduled. This is because our spaces, instructors, and schedules are all carefully planned to ensure everyone gets the best experience possible.

Empire Studios - Conditions of Hire
• Payment is taken at time of booking
• You have exclusive use of your hired studio during your booking.
• All studios include:
wooden floors, sound systems, adapters, mirrors, air-conditioning / heat pumps
• Use of studio is only for time booked.
• All bookings are in blocks of 1 and 1.5hrs hours
• If you require multiple hours, you book the multiple time slots required for use.

Keeping Empire Beautiful!
Empire is always clean and tidy for the next hirer
We work together to keep it that way! Please:
Tidy up & reset any chairs/tables before leaving.
Take all rubbish (bottles, cups, food waste) with you, we’re a rubbish-free space!
We are a smoke free and vape free venue

Large Groups or Messy Hires?
Big groups, costumes, food—it happens!
That’s why
Studio 4 has brooms, mops, and vacuums for you to use.
Please clean up before leaving to keep it fresh for the next person, class or hirer


What if I leave a mess?
If the next hirer reports an untidy space, we’ll need to send a cleaner—and you’ll be charged a minimum 2-hour cleaning fee at $60/hr (non-negotiable).
It’s just easier to clean as you go! x


Special Event Hire - Showcases, Socials and Pop Ups

Saturday evenings are primarily for showcases, socials & pop-up classes.
• If food/alcohol is present, you’re responsible for
special event licensing.
• A cleaner will be booked to
vacuum/mop floors & bathrooms, with cleaning costs based on rooms used. The cleaner will charge you separately & additionally to hire.

EMPIRE STUDIO’S SHARED SPACE NON-NEGOTIABLES

We all share in the load of keeping Empire clean - its non-negotiable
Everyone who shares Empire is asked to chip in, tidy up after themselves and help keep Empire a nice space to share; reset rooms, remove rubbish, dishes in the dishwasher.
This makes our community think about their waste, and minimises ours.

We are a smoke free, vape free and a rubbish free venue - and take this seriously x

Failure to accept the above does mean you will be charged a cleaning fee, and we likely wont accept future hires from you - Its the only fair way to manage a shared space x

Each Hirer is responsible for all above but remember to:
• Start and finish as per your booking
• Take all your, and your students rubbish off site
• Tidy and reset the venue for next hirer (should you create rubbish or move furniture)
• Ensure dishes are in the dishwasher
• Ensuring you close and alarm the building after use.
• ensure our cleaner is booked for all large events; socials, showcases, large groups
• Each hirer is responsible for administering first aide - and should be first aide certified

Saturday Socials and Showcases
The studio is available on Saturday evenings for Showcases and Dance Socials.

Seating, Lighting, Sound and Lighting Desk is available to you.

With large groups, high foot traffic - hirers are responsible for deep cleaning of the venue which does mean a compulsory cleaner is required to mop the floors and clean the bathrooms for our 8am Sunday morning classes.

Sireeta charges a minimum of $80-150 to vacuum and mop Studio 1 and clean toilets.
Your costs with increase with any mess left, and/or rooms used beyond the above.
Cleaning is payable directly to Sireeta the Sunday after her clean.
You’ll be introduced to her prior to your event and will make payment directly to her.

At all large events - We suggest large bins be put out (supplied with rubbish bags) - so its easier to contain waste to take your rubbish with you at the end of the evening.

To keep cleaning cost down - at our events we; sweep and reset the rooms, collect and take away the rubbish, clean all the surfaces - then pop all chairs on top of tables.
This brings my cleaning fee for studio 1 and bathrooms to $150.
If I do not do this, I can expect my cleaning fee to be $200, plus the cost of taking away and disposing the rubbish $60 - so its worth doing a bit of mahi x
